My favorite is the girlfriend and baby one. A lot of these use the first sentence for the mundane set up and the second to introduce the element of horror, which is the intuitive thing to do for this challenge, but since you’re expecting it when you read through these it doesn’t pack as much punch as it might. That one, however, manages to throw in two twists over the course of as many sentences (sentence one: mundane set up; first half of sentence two: oh, okay, they’re ghosts, this is a horror compilation, so that’s not too; second half of sentence two: OH GOD WHAT)
